Currency values are not directly comparable across countries, but the ratio is. Every Anglosphere boomer cohort extracts roughly 2x - 3x what they paid in, in nominal local currency.
What this does not count
The Taxes We Left Out.
Each country's ledger uses only the headline taxes that fund the headline entitlements. The following revenue sources are excluded, and every one of them falls on the "paid in" side. Including them would shrink the ratio, but every honest correction we know of leaves the ratio above 1.6x. Still net extractor. Still the case.
